Joint Sealing
The Pavement Joint Sealing Process
Diamond Coring provides joint sealing services to minimize pavement deterioration by keeping incompressible materials out of the joint. After making a saw cut 1/3 the thickness of the pavement, the joint is cleaned and a long-lasting backer rod is installed. Lastly, the sealant is applied. The backer rod serves to keep the sealant from adhering to the bottom of the joint.
